Thrifted Transformation Project: Process

Hello and welcome. It has been a while since I made a post. I promise to keep the post coming.

In this post I am introducing you to an outfit I put together. The top part of the outfit is made with Kente cloth which is a traditional Ghanaian print. This was a piece of cloth that came with a dress my grandad made for me a few years back. I am having to thrift that dress and will reveal it soon.

The design and material I had in mind

I watched YouTube to replicate a pattern however after putting it together I didn't like it as I felt it was too revealing and was thinking of throwing it away or taking it apart and using it for something else until I had an epiphany 😂. (I've been wanting to use this word for some time now so here goes). I wanted to wear it as a top with various skirts.

I also had a few scuba fabrics I bought from ebay I wanted to make some skirt out of it to wear with the top. I bought lining for the scuba skirt however it didn't arrive so my scuba project has been delayed and I'm not sure if there's any point buying again as the sellers fabric was quite affordable.

Now back to the epiphany moment. I decided to put the top on and wrap the scuba around to see which one suits best. I then got an image of Google and drafted and cut a pencil skirt from the navy blue scuba fabric to produce this. Attaching the zip was a challenge but I tried. 😊

Up close it doesn't look the best, but from afar it looks wearable.

Until next time wait for the big reveal.

What I Wore

Hello and welcome to my blog. This is a fashion post relating to mostly what I wore to church on Sunday. But before that let's get a bit of soul food. The word We explored the book of Titus. God wants the church of today to show forth the love of Christ on the way we relate to each other. We were also reminded that Love has no place for slander. Paul ask the older women to share their wisdom and encourage the young women. So if you are older in a church be sure to encourage and correct where necessary. It's a lonely world out there any piece of encourage can go a long way. The OUTFIT I wore an African print which bought for me by a friend who went to Ghana. This was bought already made and the shoes are from New Look. I got the skinny belt from a H&M dress or skirt I had. The LOOK For my makeup I used MAC studio fix foundation in NW55 and their cover up concealor in NW45. For my eyes I used For eye shadow I first applied MUA eye shadow in midnight b

The Look On Sunday

Hello and welcome to my blog. This is the look I took to church last Sunday.  Before that let me give you some of the spiritual food I received. Today 's sermon was very relevant to everyone; believer or not. The title of the sermon was " Making the most of life in a fallen world (under the sun )". The point was to be prepared for the unexpected in life. The reality of everything is, we will all die one day but the believers faith in Christ Jesus will mean that they will not suffer the second death. It's a fact that believer and unbeliever alike die one either from illness, unexpected accident or old age. So everyone must be prepared. Every decision has to be made while you are alive because once you die it will be too late. The look For my foundation, I used my Revlon colorstay foundation in mocha. This foundation is for oil and combination skin and also for those with a cooler skin tone. I am more of warm so there was a slight difference between
