Hello and welcome. It has been a while since I made a post. I promise to keep the post coming.
In this post I am introducing you to an outfit I put together. The top part of the outfit is made with Kente cloth which is a traditional Ghanaian print. This was a piece of cloth that came with a dress my grandad made for me a few years back. I am having to thrift that dress and will reveal it soon.

The design and material I had in mind |
I watched YouTube to replicate a pattern however after putting it together I didn't like it as I felt it was too revealing and was thinking of throwing it away or taking it apart and using it for something else until I had an epiphany π. (I've been wanting to use this word for some time now so here goes). I wanted to wear it as a top with various skirts.
I also had a few scuba fabrics I bought from ebay I wanted to make some skirt out of it to wear with the top. I bought lining for the scuba skirt however it didn't arrive so my scuba project has been delayed and I'm not sure if there's any point buying again as the sellers fabric was quite affordable.
Now back to the epiphany moment. I decided to put the top on and wrap the scuba around to see which one suits best. I then got an image of Google and drafted and cut a pencil skirt from the navy blue scuba fabric to produce this. Attaching the zip was a challenge but I tried. π
Up close it doesn't look the best, but from afar it looks wearable.
Until next time wait for the big reveal.
Iryn
