What I Wore | ASOS | Club L

Hello and welcome to my blog. In this post I will be writing about my my birthday look last year.

I envisioned everything before purchasing the dress, the shoes and the piece of hair I added to mine. In this shoot I wore my own hair as i had a strong edge to wear my own hair. If you have plaits, it will look really nice on it too. Another garment I envisioned with this look was a fur coat of some sort, however I couldn't find one. I might just redo this again soon.

I wanted to go bold and stand out with the colours. I must have seen the dress a couple of times while browsing on ASOS. So I opted for this velvet goldfish-mustardish colour dress from ASOS. The brand is Club L in UK size 8. I fit in this size perfectly now as I am usually a 4 or 6.

"... in everything that you do, do it with all your might because in the grave there no  work, device wisdom and knowledge"
The shoes are called truffle also from ASOS. The shoes can be quite difficult to walk in however if you do not make sudden movement, you should be fine and stable most of the time.

I have seen this mustard colour combination with black alot so this was my time to try and be different. The colour shoes I thought were electric blue, gold and red.

I got the makeup done by a friend so it looks better last year than this year but it still works out fine in my opinion. Please picture below.

Last years look
I loved the boldness of the colours from the dress to the shoes and the lipstick. Whereas it is not overly daring, you can wear this to some summer parties even to summer weddings as a guest. Why because summer is approaching and we want to look our best.

Check out my YouTube video for this look in the beginning of this post and let me know what you would have done differently.

I Made My First Wig With Lace Closure

Hello and welcome to my blog. In this post I will be writing about some of the things I have been up to, particularly things to do with hair.
I had this routine where I braided my hair and kept it for about a maximum of 3 months, took it down, treated my scalp and then follow the cycle again.
To be honest I was a bit tired of this process as it took a little over 10 hours to braid the hair and the thought of taking it down was a bit daunting too.

The initial plan was to have a friend construct a wig for me however because she lives a bit too far from me I gather this courage and awoke the wild side of me to fantasize about the idea of making my own wig.

And I did 😁. I purchased the equipment from aliexpress.com together with two set of hair:  1) Two 14 inches bundles and a 12inches  closure; 2) Three 10 inches bundles and 8 inches closure. I bought both of these from aliexpress.

To be able to do this I watched a few videos from peakmill, estelive and Ashley Bedeck on YouTube. I made what I…

Thrifted Transformation Project: Process

Hello and welcome. It has been a while since I made a post. I promise to keep the post coming.

In this post I am introducing you to an outfit I put together. The top part of the outfit is made with Kente cloth which is a traditional Ghanaian print. This was a piece of cloth that came with a dress my grandad made for me a few years back. I am having to thrift that dress and will reveal it soon.

I watched YouTube to replicate a pattern however after putting it together I didn't like it as I felt it was too revealing and was thinking of throwing it away or taking it apart and using it for something else until I had an epiphany 😂. (I've been wanting to use this word for some time now so here goes). I wanted to wear it as a top with various skirts.

I also had a few scuba fabrics I bought from ebay I wanted to make some skirt out of it to wear with the top. I bought lining for the scuba skirt however it didn't arrive so my scuba project has been delayed and I'm not sure i…

The Natural Hair Journey Continues: Box Braiding My Own Hair

Hello and welcome. This is a hair post. I remember in secondary school, my friends would corn row my hair when my hair is not in braids. I wore braids most of the time and due to this my hair grew really long. My mum would usually braid my hair and so I rarely went to the hairstylist to plait my hair.

In recent years I have been braiding my own hair. Partly due to the fact that I cannot be bothered to go and get it done. The thought of sitting for so long just haunts me and hurts my ever growing butt * sweeps hair to side. Also I notice that
In addition to this, although it does not look uber professional its cheap because I only have to buy the hair. I usually keep it in for about 2 months and I prefer not to over manipulate the hair.

When I first went natural I went to a lady to cornrow my hair and she put a hot comb through my precious natural hair like the world was at her mercy. From then I decided to do my own hair because it seemed like many hairdressers didn't know how …
