I Made My First Wig With Lace Closure

Hello and welcome to my blog. In this post I will be writing about some of the things I have been up to, particularly things to do with hair.
I had this routine where I braided my hair and kept it for about a maximum of 3 months, took it down, treated my scalp and then follow the cycle again.
To be honest I was a bit tired of this process as it took a little over 10 hours to braid the hair and the thought of taking it down was a bit daunting too.

The initial plan was to have a friend construct a wig for me however because she lives a bit too far from me I gather this courage and awoke the wild side of me to fantasize about the idea of making my own wig.

And I did 😁. I purchased the equipment from aliexpress.com together with two set of hair:  1) Two 14 inches bundles and a 12inches  closure; 2) Three 10 inches bundles and 8 inches closure. I bought both of these from aliexpress.

To be able to do this I watched a few videos from peakmill, estelive and Ashley Bedeck on YouTube. I made what I…

Beauty From Within - Hydrolysed Collagen

Hello and welcome to my blog. This beauty within post is a product review of Holland and Barrett hydrolysed collagen with vitamin C.

Hydrolysed Collagen as we may or may not know is a building block of the skin and is very popular in skin care products such as lotions and serums. Together with vitamin C when taken helps to maintain the skins elasticity thereby giving you a youthful look.

I have taken this some years back but have not recently because it is costly. A bottle cost £32.99 however Holland and Barrett were doing an offer for £10.00 each I believe so I bought two to take again. The size of the tablets are better now compared to before.

The instruction states to take three tablets twice a day which is a bit much 😁. I will report back with any visible changes to the texture of my skin. I got to choose two sample skin lotion as well. I chose aloe Vera and snail.

The Look On Sunday

Hello and welcome to my blog. This is another The look on Sunday Post.

So the sermon was titled "Living well in a fallen world". Man chase all kinds of thing like wealth as we believe will give us content but the more we have the more we want and so we chase for it.
Fame and fortune slips by. When God is in the equation we see purpose and hope. This is why we can speak about living well in this world. Society is addictive to wealth and so on.
If you do not believe in christ your life under the sun is just want it is and with no purpose, futile and vain.

From the foundation I have decided to keep using my L.A Girl Pro Foundation in mocha. Before I thought it was too bright but now I feel its works fine so I will be using that until further notice. I also used L. A Girl Pro concealer in fawn together with Mac concealer in NW45.

For my eye shadow I  wanted to combine gold in MUAs cosmic vixen palette and the mid night blue also from MUA cosmetics. I think I did OK with it. The reaso…

The Look On Sunday

Hello and welcome to my my blog. This is another the look post where I go through the look I put together.
As always first I will give you some spiritual food first. The scripture was taken from Ecclesiastes 9. It touch on sun and I picked out this one phrase "Small sin can ruin years of good work".
As Christians we have to be be careful that we do not fall. We have to continue to grow up in the christian faith. The wise man is inclined to do that which is wise. I was reminded to remain firm in my faith in Jesus Christ so as to not fall into error or into wrong doing.
Money answers everything meaning it's good when it is used rightly, the love of it is what is wrong. Finally one must live and do all things to the glory of God.

I am loving the L. A girl pro foundation I bought from feelunique.co.uk. I like th coverage it give me. It does not feel too heavy on my face so that's a plus. I have also been using rimmel London lasting finish primer for some time now …

The Look On Sunday

Hello and welcome to my blog. This is the look I took to church last Sunday. Before that let me give you some of the spiritual food I received.
Today's sermon was very relevant to everyone; believer or not. The title of the sermon was "Making the most of life in a fallen world (under the sun)".
The point was to be prepared for the unexpected in life. The reality of everything is, we will all die one day but the believers faith in Christ Jesus will mean that they will not suffer the second death. It's a fact that believer and unbeliever alike die one either from illness, unexpected accident or old age. So everyone must be prepared. Every decision has to be made while you are alive because once you die it will be too late.

For my foundation, I used my Revlon colorstay foundation in mocha. This foundation is for oil and combination skin and also for those with a cooler skin tone. I am more of warm so there was a slight difference between my chest and face. I boug…

The Natural Hair Journey Continues: Box Braiding My Own Hair

Hello and welcome. This is a hair post. I remember in secondary school, my friends would corn row my hair when my hair is not in braids. I wore braids most of the time and due to this my hair grew really long. My mum would usually braid my hair and so I rarely went to the hairstylist to plait my hair.

In recent years I have been braiding my own hair. Partly due to the fact that I cannot be bothered to go and get it done. The thought of sitting for so long just haunts me and hurts my ever growing butt * sweeps hair to side. Also I notice that
In addition to this, although it does not look uber professional its cheap because I only have to buy the hair. I usually keep it in for about 2 months and I prefer not to over manipulate the hair.

When I first went natural I went to a lady to cornrow my hair and she put a hot comb through my precious natural hair like the world was at her mercy. From then I decided to do my own hair because it seemed like many hairdressers didn't know how …

What I wore: Denim and african print

Hello and welcome. This is another what I wore blog post.

The look With my makeup I wanted something natural and simple. So I opted for a shimmery brown eye shadow from bare minerals and pinkish nudish for my lips. I lined my lips using barry m lip pencil in plum. I'm not too sure which foundation I used my guess will be l'oreal true match in dark coffee.

The outfit I am wearing a Kente print Corset and a pair of wide leg high Waisted denim from cheap Monday which I purchased hed from asos a few years ago. I bought a couple skinny jeans from the same brand as well as they fitted me really well due to my small waist. But I seem to have gained a few pounds on my tights so now they get stuck there and do not go any further. *cries

I managed to create two different looks with this jeans. I bought the shoes from new look the bold colour from the shoes is in the same colour block as the cost so I feel it looks really nice.

I did try to iron but I was in a hurry so I guess I have to…
