Thrifted Transformation Project: Process

Hello and welcome. It has been a while since I made a post. I promise to keep the post coming.

In this post I am introducing you to an outfit I put together. The top part of the outfit is made with Kente cloth which is a traditional Ghanaian print. This was a piece of cloth that came with a dress my grandad made for me a few years back. I am having to thrift that dress and will reveal it soon.

I watched YouTube to replicate a pattern however after putting it together I didn't like it as I felt it was too revealing and was thinking of throwing it away or taking it apart and using it for something else until I had an epiphany πŸ˜‚. (I've been wanting to use this word for some time now so here goes). I wanted to wear it as a top with various skirts.

I also had a few scuba fabrics I bought from ebay I wanted to make some skirt out of it to wear with the top. I bought lining for the scuba skirt however it didn't arrive so my scuba project has been delayed and I'm not sure i…

Introducing: My First Thrifted Transformation Project

Hello and welcome to my blog. So as you may know I recently decided to be more of content creator or creative and have picked up sewing. This is something I wanted to learn for sometime however due unforseen circumstances they got brushed off.
In addition to my multiple sewing projects I have an outfit I am transforming. I have had the outfit for some time now and the idea was that with time I will grow into it but that never happened. Due to this, now is the time to transform it to my size and wear it.

When this was getting made in Ghana, I didn't send my measurement and I assume my grandad thought I had put on weight. The dress was almost twice my size when I got it first. The initial style was halter neck however I have completely change the style to an off shoulder-like dress. See pic below.

The questions is to whether have this as a skirt and top or a dress. A dress will be easier in themes of having the supplies I need whereas a top and skirt are the easiest to put togethe…

What I Have Been Up To - Investing & Developing Now Skills

Hello and welcome. It's been a long time since I posted on here and a lot has changed. I have been a bit busy doing other things however I think I will be frequenting this blog going forward.

Now onto what I have been up to. A few months ago I invested in a sewing machine from amazon. I was happy to get a 0% interest and paid in installment. If you are in finance you know there's no such thing as 0% interest. Ha!

I did manage to sew a dress and wore it for as a bridesmaid dress at a friend's wedding. The finishing was not good and I have learnt alot from that experience.

I have now moved on to my second, third and forth project and will share it with you in due time. I have decided to pick this up due to the uncertainties within the corporate world. So let's wait and see what I can deliver going forward.
I am very excited to showcase all my works on here so stay tuned!

Until next time, enjoy life through exploring other opportunities.

Switching Up My Waredrope | Haul & Try On

Hello and welcome to my blog. I recently embarked on a fashion haul. My aunty was visiting from Ghana and I accompanied her to do most of her shopping. While with her she pointed out that I need to look good for work as this is were I tend to spend most of my time.

I hackened unto her to buy a few things to try and switch up my waredrope. Also I had put on a few pounds and it was time to buy new sizes as my old cloths didn't fit. My old cloths believe it or not are in sizes 4 and 6 however now I can fit in an 8 and I feel I look a lot better.

I did a few shopping in Primark were I bought 3 dresses in size UK8 all of which were full price item. The mustard dress fits fine and I love the colour however the other 2 are very tight even though they are size 8. I have not worn them yet so maybe they will loosen up -  this is what happens when you can't be bothered to try stuff on before you buy them🀦🏾‍♀️.

I also bought several trousers and tops from H&M, all of which were sal…

What I Wore | Makeup & Outfit | ASOS | Primark

Hello and welcome to my blog. This is another what I wore. First I will give you some spiritual food.
The scripture today was taken from Colossians 1:29 and 2 - 11. The summary of what was taught to us was to be careful of philosophy of man which has no life in it. And also praying as we may or may not know is a spiritual battle as Paul talks about in his praying for the people in Colosse.
The look
Today I used my L A Girl Pro Foundation in Rich Cocoa. For concealer, I mixed MAC studio fix concealer in NW45 and L A Girl Pro concealer in fawn. I used Ben nye powder in to in topaz.

For my eye shadow I used MUAs eye shadow pallette Nautral obsession colour 13 on the outer corners of my eyelids and 23 on the lids. I also applied a it of colour 17 in the corners of my eyes. In the outer corner to darken it a bit I applied a bit of the matte obsessed from the Ultimate undressed palette.

For a face powder I used MACs studio fix in NW 45. I really like the finish look seeing that I am not a p…

I Made My First Wig With 2 Bundles & Closure| Aliexpress Hair | CGG

Hello and welcome to my blog. In this post I will continue on with my previous post about my recent purchase from Aliexpress.

If you are wondering whether two bundles and a closure is enough then my answer is yes. When I was done with the wig I didn't have the bleach and developer to bleach the knots. So I parted the hair properly and used concealer. Please picture below.

I have now bleached the knots and so the parting looks some what natural. After bleaching the knots I used the remainder of the bleach on the hair just to see how th hair will turn out. Let me know if you have used two bundles and a closure before.

Let me just say that I am not a professional so these may not look as good as those you see on YouTube however my aim was to make something I can wear everyday. I personally do not have the time to be gelling my baby hairs and the lot. I am more of slap it on snatch it off girl no time for baby hair business πŸ˜„.

Thanks for stopping by and let me know if you have attem…

What I Wore | ASOS | Club L

Hello and welcome to my blog. In this post I will be writing about my my birthday look last year.

I envisioned everything before purchasing the dress, the shoes and the piece of hair I added to mine. In this shoot I wore my own hair as i had a strong edge to wear my own hair. If you have plaits, it will look really nice on it too. Another garment I envisioned with this look was a fur coat of some sort, however I couldn't find one. I might just redo this again soon.

I wanted to go bold and stand out with the colours. I must have seen the dress a couple of times while browsing on ASOS. So I opted for this velvet goldfish-mustardish colour dress from ASOS. The brand is Club L in UK size 8. I fit in this size perfectly now as I am usually a 4 or 6.
"... in everything that you do, do it with all your might because in the grave there no  work, device wisdom and knowledge" The shoes are called truffle also from ASOS. The shoes can be quite difficult to walk in however if you …
